On September 10, 2016, we had our third annual Wags & Kisses Volunteer Appreciation Picnic & Fundraiser at Wheeler Farm in Murray, Utah. Although the weather was perfect for a picnic, the crowd was a bit smaller this year due to scheduling conflicts; however, those who attended had a grand time.

Delicious food was plentiful, and there were friendly animals, good people, and numerous bids on the silent auction items. We even had fun games for dogs and their people courtesy of Calling All Dogs. Memento photo buttons were a new addition this year and quite popular!

Thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers who share their time and animals on a regular basis!

Therapy dog Chuckie enjoyed watching from a stroller.

Therapy dog Tulie didn’t mind demonstrating her begging skills. After all, this was a picnic!

We appreciate everyone who attended and helped make this a special event! We’re especially grateful to our volunteer picnic team, our board of directors, everyone who donated items for the silent auction, and our picnic sponsors – Advanced Veterinary Care, Cottonwood Animal Hospital, Mountain View Animal Hospital, and BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Hospital – for making the picnic and fundraiser possible. Thank you!

Friendly animals and their people made the evening enjoyable.

Therapy dog McCloud and his roommate Skye are focused on their handler and dinner!

The silent auction garnered a lot of attention and bids.

Good food and company was enjoyed in the pavilion.

Photos of the animals were taken on site and made into photo buttons to help commemorate the occasion. Shown here in the button are therapy dog Daisy and her roommate Chester.

A wide variety of auction items ensured there was something to please everyone!
